The ideas leading to Hiccupops were first conceived in 2012.
Following an extensive scientific exploration and a focused research and development process, Hiccupops were patented in 2013 and garnered global media attention, including the New York Times, Inc Magazine, ABC News, and Disney Channel.
Working with a commercial manufacturing partner, the Hiccupops team refined formulation to enable high-quality, commercial-scale production of the lollipops. Roughly 10,000 Hiccupops were sold in a market test from 2015-2016.
A desire to create a company that focused on advancing hiccups science led to the establishment of Meter Health in 2017.
