The Hiccupops Story

The ideas leading to Hiccupops were first conceived by MJ Kievman in 2012, after struggling with her own bout of hiccups.
Following an extensive scientific exploration and a focused research and development process, MJ was issued U.S. patent 8,563,030, the basis for Hiccupops, in 2013 at the age of 15. Early word of MJ’s journey garnered global media attention, including the New York Times, Inc Magazine, ABC News, and Disney Channel.
Working with a commercial manufacturing partner, MJ refined Hiccupops production to enable high-quality, commercial-scale production of the lollipops. Roughly 10,000 Hiccupops were sold in a market test from 2015-2016.
A desire to create a company that focused on advancing hiccups science led to the establishment of Meter Health in 2017.
